Eagles, bulldogs, lions and dragons move aside. Perhaps it's the EU referendum debate here in the UK, but I'm particularly fed up of macho nationalist posturing, so it's time to deflate that puffed up nonsense with some friendly mascots.
Coincidentally and as mentioned in my last post, I have some friends out in the USA, in Washington DC no less, and I've been hearing about the local wildlife; so here's my tribute to the resplendent red cardinal and the humble groundhog - all American garden visitors.
